Keep the people of Bacoor safe from stray animals with
rabies, and provide protection for maltreated animals.
These are the goals of
non-government and non-profit organization Strike Animal Welfare Society or SAWS. Named after Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla for his dedication
to implement the animal welfare act, SAWS was established in September 2009.
The group built a pound-cum-animal shelter that helps incarcerate animals that
may carry deadly rabies. It also serves as a temporary shelter for dogs, cats
and other animals rescued from cruelty, abandonment or neglect.
