Alongside the Pasdan River, which was overran by native cottages on the side stands the Sta Monica Parish Church also known as Sarrat Church and Bell Tower, the largest church in the whole of Ilocos Region and considered as one of the oldest churches here. This church is near the Marcos Museum.
Pictures were taken outside the church, for some reasons :)

The view is perfect for a prenup shots...beautiful...vintage. This neoclassical-style red-bricked
Sarrat Church took 10 years to build from 1669 and finally finished in 1679. The interiors look magnificent with around 500 hardwood molave logs used as the church framework. Gregorio Araneta from a scion clan of Araneta's and Irene Marcos the presidential daughter, took their marriage vows inside this church last June 11, 1983 and called it as the "
Wedding of the Century" and many people compared it to the royal wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles as the sleepy town turned into a busy and bustling village during the wedding. I must add that
Laoag International Airport and
Fort Ilocandia Resort and Casino was built to cater the wedding.

Casa Palacio Real or Sta. Monica Parish Museum also served as a trial court building during Spanish Era.

| sweet! :D |
On our way to Light house, we stop over Pasuquin and bought some biscocho at Pasuquin bakery, the famous maker of delicious biscocho in the north.
