Cape Bojeador Lighthouse in Burgos

From Sta. Monica Parish Church in Sarrat, we headed to Burgos which is 35km north of Laoag City to visit Faro Cabo Cape Bojeador or Cape bojeador Lighthouse with some people also calling it as Burgos lighthouse, sitting in the hill of Vigia, 160 meters above sea level. According to history Cape Bojeador Lighthouse in Burgos is the tallest lighthouse in the Philippines built-in 1892 and continues to serve as beacon to passing ships.   I think its not working nowadays.

The main tower is 17 meters high. But sad to say we're not able to climb the tower for it was close. According to the caretaker, the stairs are too weak to cater the visitors. There is no entrance fee when you visit the lighthouse, only donations.
