Eid al-Adha "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid", an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (also known as Abraham) to follow Allah's (God's) command to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God.
Eid al-Adha (Id ul-Adha) is a four-day Islamic festival starting on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja (Thou al-Hijja) of the Islamic calendar. This day come approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan.
This year Eid al-Adha begins in the evening of Thursday, 25 October 2012, and ends in the evening of Friday, 26 October 2012.
